Job Description
The Village of Oswego is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Project Engineer, primarily as regular dayshift office hours with some evening and weekend work as needed. The salary range for this position is $81,921.39-$116,328.37, DOQ.
This position performs duties related to the creation, review and approval of public and private infrastructure within the Village. Professional and technical duties in the planning, organizing and conducting of civil engineering assignments in accordance with best practices and legal guidelines.
Candidates for this position should have a degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum of two years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience in municipal or public works engineering. Experience with plan review, utility systems, transportation engineering, stormwater management, construction inspection, professional project management or an equivalent combination of training and experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Certifications
Licensed Illinois Professional Engineer
Valid Illinois driver’s license
Certified Floodplain Manager certificate is preferable
Valid driver’s license required
