Volunteering for Expo

The APWA Chicago Metro Chapter is proud to host the annual Expo at the Lake County Fairgrounds & Event Center on May 20–21. This event brings together public works professionals, industry partners, and community leaders for two days of networking, education, and hands-on demonstrations. Volunteers play an important role in making the Expo a welcoming and successful experience for everyone who attends.
We are seeking volunteers to assist in several areas throughout the event, including:
- On-site registration
- ROADeo judges
- Breakout room moderators
- Education session support
- “The Pitch”
- Off-site tours
- Hospitality Area
- Demo area moderators
- PW5K
Volunteer shifts will be a minimum of four hours and include volunteer shirt, lunch, and admission to the Expo. Whether you’re a long-time member or new to the chapter, volunteering is a great way to connect with fellow professionals and support the public works community.
