Due to a recent internal promotion, we have an exciting full-time job opportunity as FACILITIES SPECIALIST III!
WHAT YOU’LL DO: As Facilities Specialist III, you’ll be responsible to perform all general plumbing work and installation projects including pool maintenance and plumbing safety inspections. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Recommend purchase of supplies, materials and equipment, and promptly submit receipts of purchasing for processing.
· Install, maintain, repair and replace plumbing systems fixtures at buildings and outdoor pools including sinks, boilers, drinking fountains, garbage disposals, showers, pumps and toilets.
· Perform preseason and post season pool repair and maintenance.
· Perform seasonal pool repair and maintenance.
· Maintain, repair, and replace components for drinking fountains and the Bicentennial Fountain.
· Complete all seasonal start up and shutdown of water service to parks and seasonal restrooms, drinking fountains and decorative fountains.
· Secure vendors and or contractors including quotes and timelines.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
· High school or trade school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of progressively responsible experience in general plumbing work and outdoor pool maintenance.
· Valid Illinois driver’s license
· Current CPO Certification
· Knowledge of swimming pool chemistry, pool equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
· Possession of a Certified Pool Operation (CPO) or an Aquatic Facility Operation (AFO) within 3 months of hire
· Understanding of building inspection procedures and techniques
· Ability to read and interpret documents, such as blueprints and sketches and follow instructions.
· Ability to operate hand and power tools and knowledge of variety of products and materials used in the plumbing trade.
· General knowledge of building and plumbing codes.
· Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety requirements of plumbing trade.
WHEN YOU’LL WORK: Monday-Friday, from 6:30am – 3:00pm (40-hours/week)
