2025 Snow Plow & Backhoe Roadeo
Wednesday, May 21, 2025 – Schaumburg Boomers Stadium For more than 40 years, our chapter has proudly hosted the annual Expo event, bringing together public works professionals to showcase their skills and equipment. In recent years, we've partnered with the Chicago Metro Chapter Annual Conference and Equipment Show at the DuPage County Fairgrounds.This year, we’re going back to our roots. With APWA’s PWX coming to McCormick Place in Chicago later this summer, there will be no local chapter conference or equipment show in 2025. So, we’re bringing the roadeo back as a stand-alone event, just like the good old days!

🕘 Check-in Begins: 9:00 AM
🏁 Competition Starts: 10:00 AM
The stadium is easily accessible at the southeast corner of the Elgin-O’Hare Expressway and Springinsguth Road in Schaumburg, IL.
Competitions
- Snow Plow & Backhoe (Note: There will be no loader competition this year—it will return in 2026!)
- Vehicle safety and operational knowledge
- Mechanical understanding
- Driving and equipment handling skills through a timed obstacle course

📅 Deadline: May 16, 2025💵 Includes Lunch for All Contestants! To register, simply download and print the registration forms, then submit them by mail, fax, or email using the contact information listed on the forms. Once we receive your application, you’ll receive additional event details.
